Fanned Pineapple Chair Set:  This pattern gives directions to crochet the chair set pictured.  "Fans and pineapples combine to fashion this attractive and easy-to-make chair set. Practical protection for chair or davenport.  The resulting Head Rest will measure about 13" x 19"; the Arm Rest, about 7" x 12".  

This is a Mail Order pattern purchased through newspapers and catalogs.  The pattern was marketed as Ellen Bruce E-1281 (Needlework Bureau) in 1949.  The newspaper description:  "A pretty crocheted chair set in lacy, open work pineapple design. Inexpensive and easy to make.

MATERIAL: About 500 yds Mercerized Crochet Cotton #20. Use a #9 Steel Crochet-hook.
