This Dutch Cap is an easy project worked in shell stitch.  You'll want to make several in different colors to match your vintage wardrobe.

Description

Dutch Cap No 2509: This pattern contains instructions to crochet the hat shown. The design is called a Dutch Hat (a womans lace cap with triangular flaps on each side). The cap is made in two pieces, the crown and the flaps, and then joined together. It is worked in an attractive shell stitch and would be a perfect piece for added adornments - such as ribbons, hat pins, or even a feather. The design is vintage 1940 from The Spool Cotton Company.
