Filet Bluebird, Pineapple Border Chair Set, Alice Brooks 7430

Filet Crochet Chair Set:   This pattern contains directions for making a crocheted chair set. The center of each piece is worked in filet crochet, the border is worked in the pineapple design. If desired the set can also be used as a buffet set or the chair back can be used as scarf ends. Included in the pattern is a filet chart for the center of chair back and arm rest.  The chair-back measures 14 x 16 inches and the arm rests are 9-1/2 x 11-1/2 inches each.  

This is a Mail Order Design pattern purchased through newspapers and catalogs.  The pattern was marketed as Alice Brooks 7430 in 1942. 

Material Requirements:  6 (175 yard) balls of No. 50 Mercerized Crochet Cotton and a No. 12 steel crochet hook;   6 balls of cotton will make a chair set. 4 balls of cotton will make a scarf end.
