Description

Filet Crochet Doilies: This pattern contains directions and charts for making two oblong and two round doilies. The doilies can either be made of Mercerized Crochet and Knitting Cotton or of No. 50 Mercerized Cotton. The large oblong doilies are 16 x 27 or 12 x 18". The small oblong doilies are 12 x 18 or 8 x 12". The large round doilies are 12 or 18" in diameter. The small round doilies are 12 or 8 inches in diameter.

This is a Mail Order pattern, purchased through newspapers and catalogs. This pattern was marketed as Alice Brooks 6121 in 1938.   

Materials:   Unbleached Mercerized Crochet and Knitting Cotton in (500 yard) skeins and a No. 7 steel crochet hook;   or No. 50 Mercerized Crochet Cotton in (125 yard) balls and a No. 14 steel crochet hook.
