Filet Crocheted Chair Set:  This filet crocheted chair set is to be made of Mercerized Crochet and Knitting Cotton. The chair back measures 13 x 16 inches, the arm rest 6 x 12-1/2 inches. If desired the chair set may also be used as a buffet set or the chair back may be used as scarf ends. The pattern includes a chart for each piece.

This is a Mail Order Design pattern purchased through newspapers and catalogs.  This pattern was marketed as The American Weekly 3800 in 1938.  The newspaper description:  "A bit of string - a bit of time - will turn out this lovely colonial set in filet crochet. Let it beautify and protect your chair or buffet".

MATERIAL REQUIREMENTS: Mercerized Crochet and Knitting Cotton in (500 yard) skeins and a No. 7 steel crochet hook.   2 skeins of cotton will make a chair set or 2 scarf ends.
