Filet Crochet Deer Pattern, Chair Set, Anne Cabot 5358

Filet Chair Set:  This pattern contains directions to create the chair doily pictured.  The graceful forms of forest deer lend themselves beautifully for the block and space work of this filet chair set. The design is sufficiently modern to go well in any type of room and with almost any sort of furniture.  The openwork design looks well on dark upholstered furniture and also is equally attractive on light colored upholstered pieces.

This is a Mail Order pattern purchased through newspapers and catalogs.  This pattern was marketed as Anne Cabot 5358 in 1942.  The pattern was included in the Anne Cabot 1942 Needlework Album. 

Materials:  Best Six Cord Mercerized crochet, size 30: 6 small balls of White or Ecru, or 8 balls of any color, OR 2 big balls of White or Ecru, or 3 balls of any color.   (hook size not stated)
