Description

Filet Crochet Mats: This filet crochet in which an open stitch sets off the design may be used for a buffet or vanity set. When worked in string, the large piece measures 18 x 24 inches and the small one 12 x 19 inches.

This is a Mail Order Design pattern purchased through newspaper advertisements.  The pattern was marketed as Laura Wheeler 1256 in 1937.

Materials: Unbleached crochet and knitting cotton (800 yards to the skein) and a No. 7 steel crochet hook.
