Filet Crochet Home Pattern, Chair Set, Laura Wheeler 449

Filet Crochet Chair Set:  This pattern contains directions for making a filet crocheted chair set. If desired the set can also be used as a buffet set or the chair back can be used as scarf ends. Included in the pattern is a chart for the chair back and the arm rest, also directions describing how the charts are to be used.   The chair back will measure 12 x 17 inches; the arm rests are 6 x 12 inches each.  

This is a Mail Order Design pattern purchased through newspapers and catalogs.  The pattern was marketed as Laura Wheeler 449. The pattern was featured in the 1944 Alice Brooks Designs Catalog. 

MATERIAL REQUIREMENTS: No. 50 Mercerized Crochet Cotton in 175 yard balls and a No. 12 steel crochet hook. (7 balls of cotton will make a chair set or 2 scarf ends)
