Filet Crochet Chair Set: This filet crocheted chair set is made of unbleached Mercerized Crochet and Knitting Cotton. If desired the chair set can also be used as a buffet set or the chair back can be used as ends for scarfs. Included in the pattern is a filet chart for the chair back and the arm rest, also directions describing how the charts are to be used.

This is a Mail Order Design pattern purchased through newspaper advertisements and catalogs.  The pattern was marketed as Alice Brooks 6688 in 1940. 

MATERIAL REQUIREMENTS: Mercerized Crochet and Knitting Cotton in (500 yard) skeins and a No. 7 steel crochet hook. Two skeins of cotton will make a chair set or 2 scarf ends.
