"Darling love birds are the attractive motifs worked in filet crochet to make this unusual chair set. Interesting and easy to make".

Description

Filet Crochet Chair Set:  This pattern gives directions to create the chair doily pattern set pictured.  A romantic design with love birds nestled within a wreath of roses and leaves.  Note that the pattern includes both charts for working the design as well as complete written directions on working the design (not just directions on how to use the charts).  Second Note:  Due to the size, the chair back pattern will print to two pages, which you'll need to tape together.

This is a Mail Order pattern purchased through newspapers and catalogs.  The pattern was marketed as Ellen Bruce E-1017 (Needlework Bureau) in 1949.

MATERIALS: About 700 yards Mercerized Crochet Cotton #20. Use a #9 steel crochet-hook. This will make a set with Head Rest 18" x 17" (deep), and two Arm Rests 8" x 15" (after blocking). If you wish to make a smaller set, use #30 Cotton and a #12 hook.
