Description

Filet Crochet Wall Panel:  This pattern gives brief directions and charts to create the wall panel pictured.   The 'Man in Service' panels were frequently hung in windows or or wall in honor of those fighting in WWII.  This panel, from that era, measures 15-1/2 x 23-1/2 inches when completed.  Note: Charts are printed on two pages due to size.

This is a Mail Order pattern purchased through newspapers and catalogs.  The pattern was marketed as Laura Wheeler 1757 in 1942. 

Materials:  For panel measuring approximately 15-1/2 by 23-1/2 inches, obtain 8 balls (150 yds to each ball) of Mercerized Crochet Cotton Size 30; Steel Crochet Hook No 12 or 13.
