Filet Crochet Chair Set:  This filet crochet set with the peacock design may be used for a chair back set, buffet set or scarf ends. In string, the large piece measures 13 x 16 inches and the small piece 7 x 13 inches. 

This is a Mail Order Design pattern purchased through newspaper advertisements and catalogs.  The pattern was marketed as Laura Wheeler 290 in 1942.  The pattern was also marketed as Laura Wheeler 1191 in 1936.  

MATERIAL REQUIREMENTS: Unbleached knitting and crochet cotton (in 800 yard skeins) is used and a No. 7 steel crochet hook.
