Description

Filet Crocheted Doilies: These two filet crocheted doilies can either be made of Mercerized Crochet and Knitting Cotton or of No. 50 Mercerized Crochet Cotton depending on their use. They can be used as buffet sets, luncheon sets or as odd doilies. The pattern includes a filet chart of each doily.  The large doilies may be corcheted at 18 x 24" or 12 x 16 inches.  The small doilies may be crocheted at 12 or 8 inches in diameter. 

This is a Mail Order Design pattern purchased through newspaper advertisements.  The pattern was marketed as Laura Wheeler 1700 in 1938.  

MATERIAL REQUIREMENTS: Mercerized Crochet and Knitting Cotton in (500 yard) skeins and a No. 7 steel crochet hook, No. 50 Mercerized Crochet Cotton in (125 yard) balls and a No. 12 steel crochet hook. 2 (500 yard) skeins of Mercerized Crochet and Knitting Cotton will make 1 large and 1 small doily, or 6 (125 yard) balls of No. 50 Mercerized Crochet Cotton will make 1 large and 1 small doily.
