Filet Crochet Puppy with Posies Design 877

Filet Crochet Chair Set : This pattern contains instructions to make the chair set pictured. A fun and pretty piece, made in filet crochet using No 50 Mercerized Crochet Cotton. The chair back, 12-1/2 x 16 inches, has two puppies in f basket that is overflowing with roses and other flowers. The arm rests, 6 x 12-1/2 inches, features flower in the basket only.   Note:  The full page charts have a few smudges but do not hinder working the pattern.

This is a Mail Order Design pattern, purchased through newspaper advertisements and catalogs.  The pattern was marketed as Laura Wheeler 877 in 1944.  

Materials: No. 50 Mercerized Crochet Cotton in (150 yard) balls;   No. 12 steel crochet hook.   (8 balls of cotton will make a chair set or two scarf ends.)
