Filet Crochet Rose Doilies, Laura Wheeler 2761

Filet Crochet Doilies:  These filet crocheted doilies can be made either of No. 50 Mercerized Crochet Cotton, or of Mercerized Crochet and Knitting Cotton; the choice of the cotton governs the size and texture of doily. The doilies can be used to form buffet and luncheon sets or they can be used as odd doilies. 

This is a Mail Order Design pattern purchased through newspapers and catalogs.  The pattern was marketed as Laura Wheeler 2761 in 1941.

Materials:   Unbleached Mercerized Crochet and Knitting Cotton in (500 yard) skeins and a No. 7 steel crochet hook or No. 50 Mercerized Crochet Cotton and a No. 14 steel crochet hook.
