Description

Filet Crocheted Chair Set: This filet crocheted square can be made either of Mercerized Crochet Cotton or Mercerized Crochet and Knitting Cotton. The squares can be joined to form bedspreads, cloths, scarfs and pillows. The pattern includes a chart for the square.  When completed the square will measure 7-1/2 or 11 inches, depending upon materials selected. 

This is a Mail Order Design pattern purchased through newspaper advertistements.   This pattern was marketed as Alice Brooks 6376 in 1939. 

MATERIAL REQUIREMENTS: Unbleached Mercerized Crochet and Knitting Cotton in (500 yard) skeins and a No. 7 steel crochet hook or No. 50 Mercerized Crochet Cotton in (125 yard) balls and a No. 12 steel crochet hook. Each square requires approximately 150 yards of heavy cotton or 92 yards of fine cotton.
