Filet Crocheted Squares:   These two filet crochet squares are to be worked in string or in No. 50 Mercerized Crochet Cotton. They may be combined to form bedspreads, tea cloths, scarfs, pillows and buffet sets; each design may be used alone if desired. The pattern includes a chart of each square.  The squares may be worked at 6-1/2 or 10 inches each.  

This is a Mail Order Design pattern purchased through newspaper advertisements and catalogs.  The pattern was marketed as Laura Wheeler 1851 in 1938.

MATERIAL REQUIREMENTS: Unbleached Mercerized Crochet and Knitting Cotton in (500 yard) balls and a No. 7 No 7 steel crochet hook or No 50 Mercerized Crochet Cotton and a No. 12 steel crochet. hook.   Each square requires approximately 150 yards of heavy cotton or 92 yards of fine cotton.
