Description

Filet Crochet Squares:   These two filet designs - the one a-tulip plant, the other tulip blossoms - are to be worked in string or in fine crochet cotton. They may be combined to form bedspreads, tea cloths, scarfs, pillows and buffet sets; each design may be used alone if desired. The pattern includes a chart of each square.

This is a Mail Order Design pattern purchased through newspaper advertisements.  This pattern was marketed as Alice Brooks 5760 in 1937.  

MATERIAL REQUIREMENTS: Mercerized crochet and knitting cotton in (500 yard) skeins and a No. 7 steel crochet hook or No. 50 mercerized crochet cotton and a No. 12 steel crochet hook.  Each square requires approximately 150 yards of heavy cotton or 92 yards of fine cotton.
