Description

Crocheted Scarfs and Mats : This pattern gives filet crochet directions to create the set pictured. Depending upon materials used (see below) the small scarfs may be made at 12 x 26 or 15 x 22. The larger scarfs are 12 x 34 or 15 x 42 or 15 x any length desired. The mats are 12 x 12 or 15 x 15 inches.

This is a Mail Order Pattern purchased through newspaper advertisement and catalogs.  The pattern was marketed as Laura Wheeler 833 in in 1984.  It was previously released under The American Weekly Brand.

MATERIAL REQUIREMENTS:   No. 30 Mercerized Crochet Cotton and a No. 10 steel crochet hook;   or Mercerized Crochet and Knitting Cotton in (700 yard) skeins and a No. 8 steel crochet hook.   The small scarf requires approximately 550 yards of No. 30 Cotton or 800 yards of heavy cotton. Approximately 125 yards of No. 30 Cotton will be required for each additional 4 inches on fine scarf or approximately 175 yards of heavy cotton will be required for each additional 5 inches on heavy scarf.
