Pretty for summer, fall, or every season, is this chair set of filet crochet. And fun to make it now, when leisure time's more plentiful. There's coolness a-plenty in its graceful, floral design, so prettily set off by the simple K stitch, and mesh border. A quick easy way to crochet it, too, in string, as told and illustrated in the pattern directions. Also makes scarf ends. 

Description

Filet Crochet Chair Set Pattern:  This set is to be worked in string. The large piece measures 12-1/2 x 16 inches and the small piece 6 x 12-1/2 inches. They may be wed for a chair set, buffet set or as scarf ends.  Note:  The charts for this pattern were carefully ironed and are in usable condition with creasing evident.   If you are unable to use the charts, I will refund the purchase.

This is a Mail Order Design pattern purchased through newspaper advertisements.   The pattern was marketed as Laura Wheeler 1239 in 1936. 

MATERIAL REQUIREMENTS:   Unbleached crochet and knitting cotton (800 yard to the skein) and a No. 7 steel crochet hook.
