Description

Filet Crochet Pattern:  This filet crocheted chair set, made of No. 50 Mercerized Crochet Cotton, may also be used as a buffet set or-the large piece may be used as ends for scarfs. The pattern includes a chart for the chair back and the arm rest.   The chair back measures 12-1/2 x 16 inches and the arm rests are 6-1/2 x 12-1/2 inches each 

This is a Mail Order Pattern, purchased through The American Weekly Circular.   This pattern was marketed as American Weekly 3118 in 1940.  The newspaper description:  "This sailing ship in simple filet crochet makes a most unusual and decorative chair or buffet set!

Material Requirements: No 50 Mercerized Crochet Cotton in (150 yard) balls and a No. 12 steel crochet hook.  (10 balls of cotton will make a chair set or 2 scarf ends).
