Crochet Sun Square Pattern, Noonday Fitted Bedspread

Noonday : This pattern contains directions to crochet the bedspread shown. This one is an on unusual side for a crochet pattern in that it is not only fitted, but includes directions for the foam pillows. This is, as usual, a block motif spread, with each of the circular sun motifs being 3 1/2 inches square. Join the blocks together to form either single or double spreads. The crocheted spread pattern is vintage 1950s from Coats and Clark's - titled Noonday A-104.

Materials:   CLARK'S O.N.T. MERCERIZED BEDSPREAD COTTON, Art. B. 504,OR J. & P. COATS "KNIT-CRO-SHEEN," Art. A. 64, for Single Size-39 x 74 ½ inches (side drop 11 inches): 28 balls of No.1 White, No. 61 Ecru OR No. 42 Cream, and 23 balls of No. 43 Dk. Yellow or any color.   Pillow: 16 x 39 x 3 inches: 7 balls of White, Ecru or Cream, and 3 balls of Dk. Yellow or any color;   Felt and Foam Rubber 18 x 41 x 3 ½ inches;   For Double Size-60 x 74\12 inches (side drop 11 inches): 38 balls of No. 1 White, No. 61 Ecru or No. 42 Cream, and 25 balls of No. 43 Dk. Yellow or any color;   Pillow: 16 x 60 x 3 inches: 10 balls of White, Ecru or Cream, and 5 balls of Dk. Yellow or any color;   Felt and Foam Rubber 18 x 62 x 3 ½ inches;   Milwards Steel Crochet Hook No.7.

GAUGE: Each motif measures 5 ½ inches square.
