Flower Fruit Crochet Afghan Pattern 62 x 62 inches

Flower & Fruit Afghan : This pattern contains instructions to crochet, then embroider, the tapestry afghan pictured above. What a delightful piece! This is a block afghan, to which motifs of apple, grape, pear, cherry, pansy,and Black-Eyed-Susan's are embroidered. And then, for just the right finishing touch, a long and thick fringe is added. Of course, pattern blocks for each of the embroidered motifs are included. A lot of work with this one ... but, what marvelous results. The finished afghan measures 46 x 62 inches, before fringe. Half page charts for each cross stitch motif.  

Materials: 

• Columbia-Minerva Knitting Worsted (4 oz skein)- 11 skeins of Main Color (MC) - Black
• 1 skein in each of the following colors for cross stitch embroidery - white, dark green, light green, orange, gold, amber, lilac, purple, dark red, light coral and dark coral. 
• 1 "Boye" Afghan Crochet Hook "J" (Size 9), 1 "Boye" 
• Steel Crochet Hook "0"  
• 1 "Hiawatha" blunt end tapestry needle 

Gauge: 4 sts to 1 inch; 3 rows to 1 inch.
