Gils Crocheted Dress: This pattern gives directions to crochet the sweet dress pictured. A frilly delight in a lacy shell stitch with puffed sleeves and a dense yoked neckline. The pattern is written for age 2, with changes for age 4, and 6 in parenthesis.

This is a Mail Order pattern purchased through newspaper advertisements. The pattern was marketed by Needlework Bureau as No 882 in 1942.

Materials: Use Knitting and Crochet cotton or Shetland wool. For all sizes add to the following 1 ball contrasting for trimming. 2 years - nine 1 oz balls; 4 years - eleven 1 oz balls; 6 years - twelve 1 oz balls Steel crochet hook - 5 (Canadian) or No. 9 (American) 3 yards narrow baby ribbon.
