Girls Crocheted Dress Pattern No 2240

Girls Crocheted Dress:  This pattern gives directions to crochet the girl's dress pictured.   This is a special dress featuring a yoked design highlighted 5 small buttons.  Sleeveless and mid thigh length.  The directions are written for size 2, with changes for size 4 and 6 in parenthesis. 

This is a Mail Order pattern purchased through newspaper advertisements and catalogs.  The pattern was marketed as Anne Cabot No 2240 in 1954.  

Materials: J. & P. COATS BEST SIX CORD MERCERIZED CROCHET, Art. A. 104, Size 20: 4 balls of No. 123-A. Flamingo and 3 balls of White, or CLARK'S MERCERIZED CROCHET, Art. B. 34, Size 20: 4 balls of No. 123-A Flamingo and 3 balls of White. Milwards Steel Crochet Hook No. 8. 5 small white buttons.
