Girls Crocheted Party Dress No 939

Girls Crocheted Dress:   This pattern gives directions to crochet the dress pictured.  The vintage dress features a yoked neckline, puff sleeves and a full flared skirt and back buttoned neck closure.  The pattern is written for girls size 2, with changes for sizes 4 and 6 in parenthesis.  

This is a Mail Order Design pattern purchased through newspapers.  The pattern was marketed by Needlework Bureau as Design No 939 in 1941.  

Materials: Use Knitting and Crochet cotton or Shetland wool. For all sizes add to the following 1 ball contrasting for trimming.   2 years - nine 1 oz balls; 4 years - eleven 1 oz balls; 6 years - twelve 1 oz balls;   Steel crochet hook 5 (Canadian) or No. 9 (American);   3 yards narrow baby ribbon.
