Girls Knitted Coat Cap Alice Brooks 6199

Girls Knitted Coat and Cap:  This pattern gives directions to knit, in sports yarn, the coat and pixie cap pictured. The yoke and cuffs of coat and the cap are worked in ribbing, the rest of coat is worked in stockinette stitch. Directions for the set are given in sizes 4, 6 and 8.

This is a Mail Order Design pattern purchased through newspaper advertisements.  The pattern was marketed as Alice Brooks 6199 in 1938. 

Material Requirements:  7 (2 ounce) balls of blue Sports yarn, a pair each of No. 1 steel and No. 3 bone (American) or a pair each of No. 13 steel and No. 11 bone (Canadian) knitting needles; 6 bone buttons.
