Description

Peplum Cardigan: This is a knitting pattern with directions to make the pictured cardigan and hat. The pattern, vintage 1948 appeared in Smart Knitting Magazine. It was a quite small clip, which doesn't render a fabulous picture to show, however, it has quite nice features to make a fine cardigan. The pattern, size for girls 6, 8 and 10, is long sleeved, front buttoned with a small peplum, high neck and matching tam hat.

Materials:

  • Hiawatha British Shrink-resistant 3-ply Super Fingering Wool Art. 30. Cardigan 6 (6,7) 1-oz. skeins. Slipon 4 (4,4) 1-oz. skeins. Tam 1 skein.
  • Hiawatha Elastic Knitting Yarn of Lastex Art. 76, 1 spool.
  • No. 1 and No. 4 knitting needles.
  • 10 small buttons.

GAUGE: 7 sts= 1".
