Description

Striped Tunic: This pattern gives directions for knitting, crochet detail, the tunic shown. The tunic is striped using three colors of Knitting Worsted, with cross stiched x's for further detail (optional). The Girl's tunic is gaily fringed. Shoulder straps overlap the short sleeves, which, along with below hip bottom, are fringed.

SIZES: Directions for size 4. Changes for sizes 6 and 8 are in parentheses.

  • Body Chest Size: 23" (24"-26").
  • Blocked Chest Size: 25" (26"-28").

MATERIALS:

  • Coats & Clark's Red Heart Knitting Worsted, 4 ply, 6 (6-7) 1-oz. skeins No. 848 skipper blue (B) ; 5 (5-6) skeins emerald green (G) ; 4 (4-5) skeins No. 1 white (W). Knitting needles No. 6. (Or English size 7.)
  • Steel crochet hook No. 0.
  • Three buttons.

GAUGE: 5 sts = 1" ; 7 rows = 1".
