Girls Twin Sweater Set in Polka Dots Cardigan Top

Twin Sweater Set : This pattern gives directions to knit, crochet edges, the set pictured. Sized for our girls at 8, 10, 12 and 14, the set includes both the cardigan and the top. The cardigan is long sleeved with the typical front button band and high round neckline. To add a little extra fun it is polka dotted. This is paired up with a plain pullover top, short sleeved, with ribbed edges. The pattern is vintage 1950 from Botany.

Materials:

• Botany Saxatones 4 2-oz. skeins, main color (mc), 3 2-oz. skeins, contrasting color (cc) for all sizes. Suggested colors: mc-385 green; cc-700 cyclamen.
• Bone knitting needles, sizes 1 and 2 (standard). English sizes, 12 and 11.
• Steel crochet hook size 5.
• 1 ½ yds. No. 5 grosgrain ribbon.
• Buttons.
• Tapestry needle.
• Hook and eye.

Gauge: 15 sts=2"; 9 rows=1".
