Granny Square Crocheted Rug Pattern

The New Granny : This pattern has directions to crochet the rug pictured. Now, there are granny afghans and jackets, so why not a rug ! The rug is made up of 6 x 6 inch motifs in four colors of heavy rug yarn. Join the motifs together (as per instructions) to form a rug that will measure 24 x 36 inches. Or, continue to add rows of blocks to create a rug the size of your choice. The pattern is vintage 1950 from American Thread.

Materials: 

• AMERICAN THREAD COMPANY "AUNT LYDIA'S" HEAVY RUG YARN, Article 235 3 skeins each Lt. Yellow and Brown, 2 skeins Dk. Red, 6 skeins Gray or colors desired.
• Aluminum crochet hook size H.
