Filet Crochet Doily : This pattern contains directions to crochet the doily shown.  This doily is worked in 10 sections, which are then joined to create this centerpiece design of 23 inches in diameter.  A full page chart is included for the filet sections. 

 This is a mail order pattern, purchased through newspaper advertisements and catalogs.  The pattern was first marketed as Anne Cabot 2806 in 1950 and then as Peggy Roberts in 1951.  

Materials:  Six balls of mercerized crochet cotton size 30 (150 yds in each ball); (Use size 11 hook if you are a very tight crocheter.  steel crochet hook, size 11 or 12.
