Handkerchief Crochet Corners Pattern No R-2845

Crocheted Handkerchief Corners: This pattern contains directions to crochet four different handkerchief corners four different colors of tatting cotton. The corners, and corresponding edgings are attached to purchased, or handmade, linen handkerchief', or items of your choice.

This is a Mail Order Pattern, purchased through newspapers and catalogs. The pattern was marketed as R-2845 under both names of Peggy Roberts and Needlework Arts.  The newspaper description:  "Here are four for the daintiest and most feminine handkerchief edgings ever designed. The colorful pansy, delicate sweet pea and demure daisy are easily and quickly crocheted of vereigated cotton which matches the sweet edgings".

Materials:  4 linen handkerchiefs, 1 in each of following colors: pink, light green, white and pale yellow (or linen by the yard may be used if desired - 1/3 yd will make 3 handkerchiefs approximately 12" square). Tatting cotton in each of following colors: rose, yellow, white: lavender, shaded yellow (orange, yellow and white), shaded aqua (aqua, white and yellow), shaded rose (rose, pink, white and pale green);   Steel crochet hook No. 14 (Standard Size).
