Description

Harlequin:   This pattern gives directions for crocheting the rug shown.   This is an easy Harlequin Diamond motif ... a favorite of many.   The rug design is made up of diamonds that are 6-1/4 x 3-1/2 inches each.   They are joined to form the 19 x 34 inch design and then the border is added all the way around.  And, for that extra touch, it's worked in loop stitch using heavy rug yarn for that shag look.   A layout chart is included.   This pattern is part of a book review on American Thread 134.

Materials Required:  AMERICAN THREAD COMPANY "AUNT LYDIA'S" HEAVY RUG YARN, Article 235 10 skeins Cerise or Forest Green, 4 skeins Lilac or Turquoise and  "AUNT LYDIA'S" STAR SPUN, Article 235 8 skeins Gold;   Aluminum crochet hook size H;  Large tapestry needle for sewing
