Description

Monte Carlo Jacket : This pattern contains instructions to knit, crochet details, the Hounds-Tooth jacket pictured above. And, what a wonderful evening jacket it is ! With a frosting of iridescent sequins knitted right in, to mute and and dazzle to the pattern. This vintage 1965 pattern has an open front, three quarter length sleeves and is above hip length (Jackie O style). The pattern is sized 10 to 20. The instructions are given as size 10, with changes for 12, 14, 16, 18 and 20 shown in parentheses. A 4 page handout on knitting tips is included.

Materials:

  • Diamond Scheepjes Silvretta, 3 (4-4) 100 gram skeins each of white and black, contrasting color.
  • Knitting needles No 5 (Or English Size 8)
  • Aluminum crochet hook size F
  • Cup sequins No 8
  • Clear iridescent strings (1000 to a string)
  • Grosgrain ribbon
  • Sewing Thread and Pellon

Gauge: 13 sts = 2 inches; 6 rows = 1 inch
