Irish Crochet Collar Pattern, Double Rose, 1920's

Irish Crochet Collar:  This pattern gives directions to crochet the collar shown.  The design here is an Anna Wuerfel Brown original dating back to the 1920's and written in 'older style' language.  "Have a cambric pattern cut to fit. Then make all of the motifs first, sew them firmly to the pattern and fill in the empty spaces with loops of chain stitches and picots. Around the edges work a straight chain and cover it with d and p. If a cord is worked over when working the last row of d around the neck, it may be easily adjusted to the size wanted".
