Description

Design 892 - Irish Lace Design: This pattern contains directions to crochet the cloth pictured. The official write-up : This crocheted design of a modified Irish lace pattern is by far one of the most attractive motifs to create. It is not difficult to do and a completed tablecloth worked in this medallion is handsome enough to rate as a museum piece. The medallions are joined as work progresses, so it is not difficult to visualize the finished product. Ivory mercerized crochet cotton is suggested for the tablecloth, while lusterless bed cotton may be used if the pattern is desired for a bedspread. This medallion piece is worked to your desired finished size.

This is a mail order pattern purchased through newspapers and catalogs.  The pattern was marketed by Needlework Bureau as Ellen Bruce E-892.  The newspaper description:  "Crochet this lovely lacy jacket with pineapples and scallops adorning it. Pineapple jacket adds elegance to any dress or blouse. Easy crochet shell stitch. 3-ply fingering yarn."
