Kitten Filet Crochet Chair Doily Design 1769

Filet Crochet Chair Set:  This filet crocheted chair set is made of Mercerized Crochet and Knitting Cotton. The chair set may also be used as a buffet set or the large piece may be used as ends for scarfs. The pattern includes charts for the chair back and arm rest. The motif here is a sweet single kitten with rose display on back and kitten with tied ribbon on arm rests.  The chair back will measure 13 x 16 inches and the arm rests are 6 x 12 inches.

This is a Mail Order Design pattern, purchased through newspapers and catalogs.  The pattern was marketed as Laura Wheeler 1969 in 1938.  This was the first release of this pattern, followed by another Laura Wheeler and two under the Alice Brooks brand.
