Knitted Afghan Pattern, Striped Leaf

Knitted Evergreen Afghan Pattern:   This pattern gives directions to knit the afghan pictured.  This is a masculine design, perfect for his study or favorite chair.   Knit in wide and narrow panels.  The wide panels are in an attractive leaf motif with narrow 2" stripe panels in a contrast color. The throw measures 50 x 72 inches and is fringed at the long ends. 

MATERIALS 

• BEAR BRAND or FLEISHER'S EVER-MATCH NYLON 'N WOOL GERMANTOWN SPORT, 1 oz. skeins, Light Color, 28 skeins; Dark Color, 10 skeins. 
• "Boye" 9-inch Knitting Needles, 1 pair Size 6.

GAUGE: 

Pattern Strip-8-1/2 inches in width 

Narrow Strip-2 inches in width - 6 rows = 1 inch
