Description

Knitted Bedspread: This pattern contains directions for knitting, crochet detail, the bedspread pictured. "You'll need just two needles with a double strand of cotton to make this bedspread. It's knitted in separate strips that are then joined together to form either a double or single spread.

This is a Mail Order Design pattern, purchased through newspapers and catalogs. This pattern was marketed as Alice Brooks 7050 in 1967.

Materials:  Mercerized Crochet and Knitting Cotton in (700 yard) skeins;   pair of No. 3 bone (American) or No. 11 bone (English) knitting needles;   No. 3 steel crochet hook.   A single bed size bedspread requires 16 (700 yard) skeins of cotton. A double bed size bedspread requires 19 (700 yard) skeins of cotton.
