Description

Knitted Accessories:  This pattern contains directions for making a knitted beanie and a matching draw-string bag worked in the easy cable stitch. The set is worked of Knitting Worsted or if desired it can be made of three strands of Crochet and Knitting Cotton held together.

This is a Mail Order Pattern purchased through newspapers and catalogs.  The pattern was marketed as Laura Wheeler 613 in 1946. 

MATERIAL REQUIREMENTS: 3 (3-3/4 ounce) skeins of green Knitting Worsted or 6 (250 yard) balls of green Mercerized Crochet and Knitting Cotton, six No. 3 bone (American) or No. 11 bone (English) sock knitting needles (double pointed needles), 1/2 yard of lining material and a piece of buckram 8 inches square and a No. 5 bone crochet hook.   If only the hat is being made 1 (3-3/4 ounce) skein of Knitting Worsted or 3 (250 yard) balls of Mercerized Crochet and Knitting Cotton, five No. 3 bone (American) or No. 11 bone (English) sock knitting needles (double pointed needles) and a No. 5 bone crochet hook is required.
