Description

Cable Gloves:   This pattern gives directions to knit the gloves shown.   The official description of this vintage 1953 magazine pattern:  "Elbow length gloves to wear with push-up coat sleeves, come cold days. These have an intriguing baby cable pattern"  

Sizes: Directions for small size: Changes for medium and large are in parentheses.

Materials:

  • Chadwick's Red Heart Sock and Sweater Yarn, 3 ply, Art, E. 255, Shrink-and-Stretch Resist Finish, 2 1-oz, "Tangle-proof- pull-out skeins No, 686 Paddy Green  
  • Set of Milwards "Phantom" aluminum or Clark's O.N.T. plastic dp needles No 3 for all sizes and No. 2 dp needles for sizes small and medium, (Or, English sizes, 10 and 11)  

Gauge: 8 sts=1"; 14 rnds=1" (No. 2 needles), 7 sts=1" ; 12 rnds=1" (No, 3 needles).
