Knitted Cardigan Pattern is Waist Length

Lace Applique Cardigan : This pattern contains directions to crochet the cardigan pictured. This is a standard waist length cardigan for misses. It features the long sleeves, high round neckline, front button band and ribbed cuffs and bottom. The design, vintage 1956 from Modern Needlecraft magazine, renders a poor picture, but a quite cute design.

The official magazine description: Push up sleeve cardigan in bright pimento has white embroidered lace appliques circling the neckline, to coordinate with the white linen sheath. Matches to McCalls Sewing Pattern Pattern No 3217.

Directions for size 12. Changes for sizes 14 and 16 are in parentheses.

• Blocked Bust Size: 34" (36"-38" ).

• Bernat Glenspun, 6 ( 7- 8) l-oz. balls Pimento.
• Knitting needles Nos. 1 and 3. ( Or English sizes 12 and 10 ).
• Steel crochet hook No. 4.
• Seven buttons.
• Eight embroidered lace flower appliques.
• One yard l" grosgrain ribbon.

GAUGE: 7 sts=l" ; 10 rows=l" (stockinette st, No. 3 needles).
