Description

Knitted Cardigan : This pattern contains directions to knit, crochet detail, the cardigan pictured. A delightful addition to your wardrobe, this cardigan is worked in a two tone checked pattern stitch in Knitting Worsted. The loose fitting Cardigan is front buttoned with front batch pockets, extended shoulders and below hip length. And, if that isn't enough, there is an oversized collar the drapes down from the back shoulders and forms a v-neckline in the front. The vintage 1950's pattern, from American Thread, is written for misses size 10, with changes for 12, 14 and 16 in parentheses.

Materials:

  • AMERICAN THREAD COMPANY "DAWN" KNITTING WORSTED 28 (29, 30, 31) ounces Dk. Violet 10 (11, 12, 13) ounces Lt. Azure or colors of your choice
  • Knitting Needles: 1 pair No. 8 or any size needle which will result in stitch gauge below.
  • Steel crochet hook No. 1
  • 5/8 inch bone rings for buttons as required.

Gauge: (Pattern) 13 sts - 2 inches. 9 rows - 1 inch.
