Knitted Checked Suit Pattern with Skirt Jacket

Les Bouquets Checked Suit : This pattern contains directions to knit the suit shown. The design is a very Jackie O' style; just as it should be as it is vintage 1960 from Ungers. The suit is a two pieced and has a semi fitted jacket and a straight skirt, both in an attractive checked pattern stitch with contrast banding around neck, button band and sleeve edges. The sleeves are three quarter length, just above hip length, two patch pockets in the front and 6 button closure. The skirt is straight with back zipper closure. The suit is sized for misses 12, 14 and 16. This is an intermediate to advanced pattern.

Materials:

• Unger's LES BOUQUETS 8 (8-9) 50 gr balls MC, 7 (7-8) 50 gr balls CC Hero size 10 knitting needles Or size to meet gauge (Hero size 9 and 8)
• 4 yds 1/2" grosgrain ribbon;
• 1/2 yd nylon tulle;
• 3/4 yds 2" grosgrain ribbon;
• 7" skirt slide fastener;
• 6 buttons:

GAUGE:On size 10 needles, 5 st= 1"; 11 rows=2"
