Description

Collared Blouse:   This pattern gives directions to knit the blouse pictured.  "Herringbone stripes, pretty scallops – a dressmaker overblouse with party savoir-faire knitted in a delectable strawberry shade".   The blouse features three quarter sleeves with rounded collar and lightly scalloped edges - an herringbone motif employed in garter stitch. Drections for sizes 10-12. Changes for sizes 14-16 in parentheses.  This design is vintage 1953.

MATERIALS:

  • Bear Brand Nylon 'n Wool. 9 (11) 1-oz. skeins.
  • Plastic knitting needles Nos. 2 and 4. (Or English sizes 11 and 9.)

GAUGE: 17 sts=2" ; 10 rows or 5 garter st ribs=1" (pat, No. 4 needles).
