Knitted Dress Pattern Design 501 with Leaf Motif

Knitted Dress: This pattern contains directions to knit the dress pictured. The knitted dress is a flattering A-line in either 3-Ply Fingering Yarn or synthetic yarn in same weight. The raised leaf design runs down the left side, adding great eye appeal to the dress. The pattern is sized for misses 32 - 45 and 36 - 38. Note, this is a large pattern ... it takes many many rows to create such a splendid piece. Although extensive (many pages), the design is intermediate.

This is a mail order design pattern, purchased through newspaper advertisements and catalogs. This pattern was marketed as Laura Wheeler 501. The pattern was included in the 1973 Needlecraft Pattern Catalog.   

Materials Requirements:  3-ply Fingering Yarn or Synthetic Yarn in same weight in 1-oz skeins – 12 skeins for size 32-34 with No 3 (American) or No 8 (English): A pair of needles and a 29” circular needle or 14 skeins for size 36-38 with No 4 (American) or No 9 (English): A pair of needles and a 29” circular needle
