Knitted Evening Blouse Pattern, Glint Stripes

Clair de Lune Evening Blouse : This pattern contains instructions for knitting, crochet edging, the blouse shown. A lovely design, perfect for evening wear. The pattern, is worked in a solid and a secondary 'glint' color in a pattern stitch that creates textured rows. The blouse has a low v-neckline and short sleeves. It is misses size 12, 14 and 16. The official 1950 magazine description: "The soft iridescence of orchid and steel blue gives an off-white blouse its finely etched effect through the use of glint-thread stripes. Gently curved decolletage has special charm too".    The pattern is written for size 12, with changes for 14 and 16 in parenthesis.  

Materials:   Clair de Lune, 6 (7-8) 1-oz. skeins. Glint, 2 spools orchid, 2 spools steel blue;   Knitting needles No. 2 (standard). English size, 11; Steel crochet hook No. 5; 1 yd. narrow elastic.   (Gauge: 7 sts=1"; 10 rows=1")
