Description

Fair Ilse Cap & Gloves : This pattern gives directions for knitting the accessory set shown. This is an attractive Fair Isle design in 4 colors of 3-ply fingering yarn. The official description of this vintage 1940's pattern: "The effective Fair Isle pattern used for this delightful set is very easy to follow. Gloves and cap are both knitted on four needles. A Fair Isle pattern is particularly hard wearing as it gives the strength of double knitting". Note: Although the description terms this as an 'easy' pattern, I'd term it more intermediate to advanced based on the differences of terminology between 1940 and today.
