Knitted Gypsy Swirl Skirt Suit Pattern

Gypsy Skirt Suit : This is a knitting pattern with instructions to knit, crochet waistband and edging, the suit pictured. The official description says it all .... "Gypsy Stripes in young and gay swirl skirt, are topped by a sedate little brown jacket. Stripes in ten well-chosen colors. A must ! Note the neckline on the jacket." This pattern, vintage 1950 from Minerva, is written for misses size 12, with changes for 14 and 16 in parentheses.

• Blouse: Minerva Monterey, 10 (11-12) 1-oz. skeins Brier Brown, 312.
• Skirt: Same amounts of yarn are used for all sizes.

2. Color 2: China Turquoise No. 302 - 3 skeins.
3. Color 3: Del Sarto No. 338 - 4 skeins
4. Color 4: Sun Gold No. 301-2 skeins.
5. Color 5: Canary No. 300 - 1 skein.
6. Color 6: Radar Blue No. 307 - 2 skeins.
7. Color 7: Appleberry No. 321 - 2 skeins.
8. Color 8: Pigeon No. 320 - 1 skein.
9. Color 9: Miami Beige No. 311 - 1 skein.
10. Color 10: California Citron No. 326 – 3 skeins.

• 10" knitting needles No. 2 and 14" needles No. 3 (standard). English sizes 11 and 10.
• 29" steel circular skirt needle No. 3.
• Steel crochet hook No. 2.

Gauge: 7sts=1"; 11 rows=1" (size 3 needles).
